Dr. Angela Andersson
Dr. Angela Andersson graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Ph.D both in political science. She taught at Loyola University Chicago before starting to teach in Kenosha Unified School District in 2000; Angela made this switch to teach at a level where she could make a greater impact on students by providing fundamental skills and a belief in themselves. In January 2006, she began planning a school with a small team that became the Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum (KTEC) in September 2007.
As the STEM/ technical education opportunities expanded at KTEC, a desire for a high school that was designed to meet the needs of students and industry became apparent. Therefore, she collaborated with industry and higher education partners to design the Kenosha High School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum. The high school opened in the Fall of 2022 and promotes career paths in high-skilled, high demand positions for students.
Dr. Andersson was the principal at KTEC until 2023. She is incredibly proud of how the curricular program at KTEC is producing high levels of achievement for students and opening doors to further education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Currently, she is working as the CEO of KTEC Schools and as a consultant locally and nationally to ensure that students understand the possibilities that a rigorous technical education brings them.
