Richaad Reed is originally from Washington, DC, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University. During his time there, he was actively involved in community service, dedicating his efforts to tutoring and mentoring youth. He is also a proud graduate of the Cardinal Stritch African American Leadership Program (AALP), Cohort 11.
Following graduation, Richaad built a global career as an application engineer in the brazing and soldering industry, including a six-month assignment in Europe. In this role, he served as a technical leader and ambassador for his organization—delivering presentations to engineers, conducting customer facility audits, and leading hands-on demonstrations for end users. He later advanced to Inside Sales and Application Engineering Manager, where he successfully led a team of 25 direct reports.
Richaad currently serves as a Global Account Manager at Poclain Hydraulics, overseeing relationships with some of the company’s most strategic customers. He is driven by continuous growth and consistently seeks opportunities to expand both his professional expertise and personal development.
Passionate about empowering others, Richaad is committed to helping individuals reach their highest potential and create meaningful impact within their communities. He founded the Diversity and Inclusion Employee Resource Group at Lucas Milhaupt and currently coaches a FIRST Tech Challenge team at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy.
Outside of his professional work, Richaad enjoys mentoring the next generation, traveling to experience new cultures, home brewing, and spending time with his wife as they raise their son.
